Find Us

Built in 1502 during the reign of Henry VIII, the Cock Horse pub in Hildenborough serves up a warm welcome in historic, homely surroundings.

A former coaching inn, the pub takes its name from the heavy horse which used to help drag local stagecoaches up the hill to the next village. The Cock Horse is the perfect place to relax with a pint and a few bar snacks with a crackling real fire lending a snug, cosy feel to the traditional bar.

The pub also boasts a pool table and darts board for those looking for a touch of sport.

Walkers (and their well-behaved dogs) exploring the local area are more than welcome to pop in for refreshment, and the Cock Horse has a lovely lawn and two decking areas providing the perfect setting for summer drinks.
